Guest blogger Abi Little, creator of ‘Abi’s Face’, explains some great products for problem skin

It’s taken me ages to sit down and write this post. I have been over thinking it ( not a surprise to those who know me well). I was going to do a post about all the cleansers I have ever used. Then one on toners, then moisturisers, and… Ok, you get the picture.

But, there was too much to say about each product that I have decided to post about individual products and give each of them the opportunity to shine. I won’t tell you what I don’t like. I don’t want to product shame. But, I will only recommend products which I, hand on heart, believe in.

Today I want to introduce you to one of the most amazing cleansers I have ever used. To me, it’s a miracle worker.

Cor: The Silver Soap

I discovered this soap when I was living in Hong Kong. Hong Kong caused my face to explode with acne. I had had lovely clear skin for ages before I moved to Asia. I loved everything about living there except for the mess it made of my face. I don’t have pictures because I avoided cameras at that time. I looked like I had chicken pox around my mouth at one point. Many of my friends had the same problem and I believe the humidity was to blame. Some people even asked what was wrong with my face. Yikes!

I went online to purchase some of the products that I knew and trusted to tackle the problem ( the stuff I was using was nice but it wasn’t working in HK). When I was searching through cosmetics sites, I noticed an advert for Cor: The Silver Soap. I read an article about it which claimed that it was able to zap away acne in just a couple of weeks. It was loved by Sarah Jessica Parker and it was even anti-ageing. BUT, it was $1000 HK dollars for a bar. That’s £100. Then I noticed I could buy a very tiny travel size for £15. It would only last about 2 weeks but at least I could try it and be sure it worked so I clicked and bought.

Cor claims to be an all in one product. Cleanser, toner and moisturiser. But, I disagree. It’s a superb cleanser but you still need to tone, moisturise and exfoliate to have great skin.

You can use it as a face mask for 5 minutes on areas where you have had a break out and then you can use it as a daily cleanser. The first time I tried it I was amazed. I saw a difference within 24 hours. I was hopeful. 1 week later my spots had all shrunk to small red marks but they were definitely on their way out. 2 weeks later my skin was nearly clear and it stayed that way the whole time I used this cleanser.

You can also now buy a 30g version for £35 online ( I haven’t found it sold in any UK shop yet). This lasts me about 3-4 months. Whenever I have had a break out I buy this stuff straight away and it gets my skin sorted within days. I do use other cleansers when my skin is in a good place, mainly because of the cost, and, because there are other great cleansers but this gets 10/10 for me every time.

It does dry the skin out quite a bit when you first use it so please moisturise morning and evening too and then I believe you will see a difference quickly.

This product contains silver and silica. Silver blocks the bacteria’s ability to transfer oxygen through its cell walls, therefore suffocating the bacteria. Go team Silver! Silica prepares the skin to accept the ‘cor’ ingredients. Silica draws the silver and all of Cor’s ingredients into its particles so it works deep into your skin. High five to Silica.

This product also reduces the signs of ageing and protects against the sun ( but still use sun cream please please please).

If you are in need of something that is going to make an immediate and lasting difference, here’s your soap.

Let me know if you try it and what you think…
