I have never shopped on QVC before but OMG is it addictive. I could have quite easily bought loads. I love how you can see the palettes on display and swatched. It is always hard internet buying as you never quite know the quality to expect so when you watch people using in front of you its so much fun. However, you have to remember why you came and what you wanted because they are there to sell and will praise everything they show you. What is important is for you to see the quality, colour pigment and size.
So lets look at the Tartelette palette. This is an amazonian clay matte palette. I wanted this for ages as I always have palettes with a mixture of texture; lots of MAC in matte shades. I wanted one palette with a variety of matte shades. I mainly use all my matte into the crease of the eye as this adds depth and definition to an eye look. What is important is a colour that lasts through out an event or evening, one that you have to remove when you come home. These pigments are strong and do last. At this time of year I was excited to dive straight in with the purple shades; ‘best friend’ and ‘bombshell’. What i would say is less is best. The pigments are very strong and the colours rich. Have a play on the back of your hand before you dive into your eye socket.
This palette cost me £30.60 plus postage. Would I recommend for you? probably not. I think this is great for make up artists, but you may not use the full range. I would 100% recommend the brand. I would instead purchase the palettes that have a blusher in or the one that has two colours you can contour with; The Tarte Poppy Picnic and the Amazon Escape volume II. am I happy with my purchase? oh yeahhhhh x
Next is the impulse buy. I haven’t used or heard of Mally before. However, just because you haven’t heard of the brand does not mean it isn’t of the upmost quality. What made me smile was when I opened the box it came in a lovely organza bag and had cute pamphlet with it. I think extra little things make shopping experiences fun. So the palette comes in a very sturdy and gorgeous gold compact. Flip it over and all the shades are listed on the back plus it says distributed in Salford M50 3UB, just up the road.
So straight in with WOW!! the richness and texture of each shade is unbelievable
I love love love… and what makes this palette a bit more unique than most is it comes with 3 extra shades; a black, a white and a shimmer.
The picture does not do it justice. The palette is very large and the pans hold a lot of lipstick colour.
Oh yes if you have a colour that is just a shade to dark or too light you can mix it. Or if you fancy a shimmery look then add some dazzle. That is a tad harder than it looks and you need to have a good play around. But if someone bought me this for Xmas I would be delighted. I paid £24.00 for this palette and I think it is totally worth every penny. Yes quick log on now and purchase.
A perfect little winter treat for you As you can see I did try a little mix. This is something I could spend hours doing. Guess what? I probably will…
Lastly the palette comes with a fabulous mirror big enough to see your whole face. My favourite shade so far is Aubergine, totally in line with this seasons trends.
